LG removes Jeong Woo-young from first-team roster, citing ‘declining physical condition’

Jeong Woo-young, who has been a stalwart on the mound for the LG Twins, was removed from the first team roster on Thursday. The club explained that the move was due to a “decline in physical condition.”

Jung has been one of the “must-win” 메이저사이트 pitchers for LG this season and has been a key part of the team’s run to the top of the standings. Through the first 13 days of the season, he has appeared in 50 games, pitching 42.2 innings with a 4-4 record and a 4.43 ERA.

However, his last 10 starts have been less than stellar. He has two shutout wins in that span, but in 7.2 innings of work, he has allowed seven runs (five earned) on 14 hits, five walks and three hit batsmen while striking out six, raising his ERA to 5.87.
